Make - a - Wish Foundation Appeal

The Make-a-Wish Foundation works to provide children with life threatening illnesses, the chance to turn their dreams into reality

As some of you may already know I recently became a volunteer for the
"Make-A-Wish" Foundation and I have been trying to raise some much needed
funds for the organisation to help them to grant as many magical wishes as
possible in 2009.

My eldest son, Callum, was diagnosed with a very rare bone cancer when he
was 3 years old - thankfully he overcame this and is now 9 and enjoying
EVERY minute of every day.  Unfortunately for many children that are
currently living with life threatening illnesses this is not always the
case - this is where the Make-A-Wish Foundation can, in a small way, help
children living with such illnesses turn their wishes into a reality.
Whether it is a wish to be a princess or train driver for a day, own the
latest TV or computer equipment or to spend some time away with their
family, a wish come true brings so much to a child's life and provides
memories that last a lifetime.

Callum made a wish to be able to have a sword fight with Captain
Hook..............Make-A-Wish made this possible, and he remembers it to
this day.

I have been very lucky to have been approved as a volunteer and have met
some fantastic people within the Make-A-Wish organisation who work
tirelessly to make these dreams come true.

I am hoping that YOU will be able to take part (or contribute in some way)
 to this sponsored walk
.

Date : Sunday 10th May 2009

Time : 1.30pm (walk to start at approx 2.00pm)

Venue : Trent Park, Cockfosters Road, Enfield, Middlesex, EN4 0PS

Distance : Approx 1.5 miles (liquid refreshments will be available free of
charge - NO alcohol !!!!)

PLEASE come along to participate in the walk and help to raise a large
amount of cash that will help towards granting more magical wishes.

I REALLY hope that you will be able to join us and would ask that you email me as soon as possible to confirm that you will be there so that I can send you a sponsorship form (which can be photocopied if you run out of space) - if you feel that you won't be able to make it then I hope you will consider sponsoring someone else who you know is taking part.  ALL donations will be
gratefully received.

Please be aware that there will be parking available, however, it will be
limited - further instructions will be sent to you once I have received
confirmation of your attendance.  I am hoping that you will ALL be bringing
your children, friends and relatives to join in and am looking forward to
seeing you on the 10th !!!!!!
