This was an excellent Cup Tie played in an exemplary spirit by players from two long established and well-disciplined clubs (including parents). While Chase Side seemed to be the more accomplished side, they squandered many chances, and Winchmore always looked threatening on the break. Both teams tried at all times to play passing football to feet. The deciding goal was scored after 56 minutes, but even then Winchmore missed a difficult, but unmarked header into an open goal with just 30 seconds to go, which would have taken the game to extra time.

This was a tribute to all involved – and a great advertisement for Youth Football.
